ASU (Arizona State University) was interested to see how Smart Sparrow can extract and embed existing ASU Prep Digital courseware into new adaptive & personalized courseware and show the vision of a next-generation digital high school.


Client requirements:
  1. We would like to evaluate Smart Sparrow (SPR) as an adaptive and interactive courseware development platform.
  2. Please demonstrate extracting and embedding existing ASU Prep Digital courseware into new courseware
  3. Please show us how you can accelerate our transformation and enable our vision of a next-generation digital high school.

Solution

  1. Demonstrating adaptive learning, asset integration, thoughtful learning design, integration with LMSs and the Digital Learner Profile.
  2. Bundling the three lessons, this Smart Course demonstrates engaging course designs, learning apps, and high production value. 
  3. To complete the picture, we’re introducing you to the “Hive”, a digital learn-space designed from the ground up to inspire you for what ASU Prep Digital could be.

My role
As a UX/UI designer, i worked across the entire project life-cycle. Liaising with learning designer, SME's and with creative head. Researching, gathering requirements and proposing/pitching new concepts. Creating high fidelity concepts to the clients, getting their feedback and improving on it. Also, working with the dev team to learn the constraints and get their feedback. I was responsible for creating:

  • Prototype(low-high). 
  • Multi device, responsive mobile first design.
  • Following ASU brand guidelines.
  • Component/Pattern libraries.
  • Maintaining and evolving design system.
